CT Innovates
TL;DR
CT Innovates trains civic organizations to use AI responsibly. I designed and built the whole site. The two most important pieces were a pricing catalog for a multi-stage offer and a content library the client runs himself.

Project Type
Freelance client.
Role
Designer and developer, working directly with the founder.

Pricing as a Catalog
The offer is a multi-stage process with several routes through it: a starting session, workflow courses taken one at a time or as a bootcamp, and a platform on top. The first build put 28 prices on one page. A volunteer committee chair will not configure a purchase from a rate sheet.
So I built it like a catalog, modeled on Coursera. Every offer is laid out the same way, and the individual courses sit inside it like a syllabus. The site shows the shape of each offer, and the founder prices the rest on a call. Visible prices went from 28 to 9.

A Library the Client Runs
The Resource Center is built for 26 planned pieces across 7 formats, each with 17 metadata fields. A new offer has no track record yet. So the library does the proving, and shows the thinking behind the training before the results exist.
All of it runs on a customized CMS. The client publishes and edits on production without me touching it.

What I Learned
The founder wrote the copy, and it changed often. Many times the words arrived after the layout was built. The copy won, and design decisions were rationalized after the fact.
Next time I would lock the content structure with the client before designing a single section.
